About Gammon
Gammon is a British-made clothing brand built on quality, restraint and quiet confidence.
Founded in 2026 by Roger Macarthur, Gammon was created with the intention of building partnerships with UK designers, fabric makers and clothing manufacturers to produce premium British-made clothing that represents the best the UK has to offer.
Before founding Gammon, Roger spent three decades working in aerospace testing and certification.
Gammon draws inspiration for its style from north-west England's rich industrial heritage, which has always fascinated Roger.
Our products are made in small batches, in small workshops where traditional skills are still practised. The cotton jersey used for our launch collection is a bespoke fabric, knitted and finished in the UK. As the range develops, we intend to continue commissioning fabrics specifically for Gammon.
Roger says: “The transition from aerospace engineering to launching a new clothing brand has not been easy, but it has been fascinating and rewarding.” He also acknowledges the invaluable advice and assistance received from Kate Hills of Make it British.
